Former Saturday Night Live cast member Fred Armisen is hosting the season finale of the hit NBC sketch show on Saturday, May 21.

The season 41 finale, which will include performances by musical guest Courtney Barnett, marked Armisen’s first return to the show as a host since he left the program in 2013. (He most recently appeared on the show as a guest in January when he delivered a heartfelt speech about David Bowie.) He had been with the show since 2002, meaning that there will (hopefully) be a few of Armisen’s SNL characters making a return on Saturday.

Armisen continues to star on the Lorne Michaels-produced Portlandia, which he created alongside costar Carrie Brownstein and former SNL writer Jonathan Krisel.

Portlandia isn’t the only connection that Armisen still maintains with his SNL past – he currently serves as the house band leader on Late Night with Seth Meyers, which also airs on NBC.

Most recently, Armisen starred as Robert Durst in Netflix’s Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, which was created by his former SNL costar Tina Fey.

The season finale of SNL will air Saturday, May 21, at 11:30 p.m. ET.
