"I really like Jean Harlow the actress, and she likes Shalom Harlow the model," says Madden of how he and Richie came to the moniker. "Harlow's cool because it feels like a classic name." As for Winter, Madden says the season is "so serene and quiet, and that's how she is."

The daughter of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban gets her unique name from early 20th-century artist's muse Sunday Reed. "She was a key mover and shaker in the arts around the beginning of the century," Kidman's father Antony told Australia's The Daily Telegraph. "The name Sunday struck me as being a nice name for a woman, so my wife and I mentioned it." Her middle name has more traditional roots – Rose is Urban's late grandmother's name.

KNOX LEON

The famous twin's name was inspired by dad Brad Pitt's maternal grandfather Hal Knox Hillhouse, who died when Brad was in the seventh grade. Knox is also part of a Jolie-Pitt family tradition: Like his brothers Maddox and Pax, his name ends in "x."

VIVIENNE MARCHELINE

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt named their new daughter as a tribute to Jolie's mother, Marcheline Bertrand, who died in 2007 from ovarian cancer (the French root of the name Vivienne means "to live").

ZUMA NESTA ROCK

The second son of Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale joins brother Kingston in having his name inspired, in part, by Bob Marley. (Kingston, Jamaica, was the reggae star's home base, and Nesta was his middle name.) As for their newest son's first name, there's always Malibu's famed Zuma Beach, a favorite destination of his parents.

Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubrey waited until their daughter's birth to choose the name Nahla, which means honeybee in Arabic. "For us it was hard to name the most important person in our life until we met her," Berry told Access Hollywood.

Parents Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz picked their son's unusual name from a Disney classic. "The Jungle Book was something me and Ashlee bonded over. It's a cool name," father Wentz told Ryan Seacrest of his son's middle name, taken from the story's young hero. But as for the newborn's (he joined the couple Nov. 20) first name, Wentz will only say, "I don't think anybody knows what the real story is."
