Whitney Port Talks Wedding Planning and Her Big Day: 'I'm Going to Be a Mess'
Fashion designer Whitney Port got engaged to former The City associate producer Tim Rosenman in 2013
Whitney Port may have just celebrated her upcoming nuptials to fiancé Tim Rosenman with a surprise bridal shower (plus two bachelorette bashes), but the fashion designer is still in the midst of planning her big day.
“We’re in the throws of all the craziness now,” Port, 30, told PEOPLE at her Martini & Rossi-sponsored bridal shower. “It’s been a mix of so many different things I just want the weekend to come and I want the weekend to last forever.”
“I love the creative part of planning, but there’s just so many little details that I feel like it’s just hard to balance the planning and work because I’m kind of a micromanager,” Port continued. “So I want to be involved in everything and make all of the decisions, but it’s a lot.”
And although Port has a lot of wedding decisions to make, the Hills alum shares she hasn’t relinquished any planning duties to her fiancé.
“Everything that he has his hands in, I do too. He hasn’t 100 percent owned any of the tasks for the wedding,” she said with a laugh.

Wedding plans aside, Port said she’s looking forward to finally exchanging “I do’s.”
“I feel like I’m most excited for the ceremony,” Port shared. “We’re saying our own vows, so I’m excited for that part because that’s what means the most to me.”
She added: “Then just to dance and have a good time and hang out with all of our favorite people in the world because how often do you get all of those people at the same place on one night?”
And the Whitney Eve designer said that although the couple doesn’t have all of their RSVPs yet, the guest list “will probably be about 200 people.”
“It’s pretty big,” Port – who adds she is having a “really glamorous” destination wedding – said. “Bigger than I originally thought it was going to be.”
As for whether or not she’s going to cry on her big day, Port said, “Oh yeah. I’m going to be a mess. I already know it.”
