Whitney Houston's daughter is coming to terms with her mother's death, her father says
It’s a difficult time for the family of Whitney Houston as they come to terms with the singer’s sudden death. But her daughter, who was treated at a hospital for an emotional breakdown after her mother’s body was found, is improving, according to her father.
“My daughter Bobbi Kristina is doing much better,” Bobby Brown said in a statement Wednesday.
“We continue to provide love and support to Bobbi Kristina. She is dealing with the tragedy of her mother’s death and would prefer to do it outside of the public eye. I ask again that our privacy be respected.”
After being taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Bobbi Kristina, 18, was released to family and friends.
“Obviously the death of her mother is affecting her,” Brown said on Monday. “However we will get through this tragedy as a family.”
Houston’s family has planned a private funeral for the singer on Saturday in Newark, N.J.
