Actress and comedienne Whitney Cummings has spoken out about her recent weight gain.

Appearing on the Today show on Monday, Cummings, 32, spoke how she thought she was too skinny, and decided to take action.

“I gained, like, 25 lbs., which I think I needed to,” she said. “I was way too skinny before. Here’s the thing… when you’re on television you get confused. I looked like I was passing away, like I was so skinny. It’s not attractive.”

The comedienne joked about her size with hosts Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford saying that she bought her new face on eBay, describing her weight gain as “this weird thing that nobody likes to do anymore.”

Cummings also cleared up any confusion surrounding her fuller face.

“I put on, like, 20 lbs. People think I got a face lift,” she said.

Cummings also revealed that she’s staying busy outside of “eating her way to a new face.” The actress is in in the middle of her comedy tour, doing an HBO special in August – set to air next year and also revealed that she has an HBO show in the works.
