The model wanted a photo with a certain VIP ... but to no avail
Chrissy Teigen had her eye on one of the hardest working guys in the room at the Saturday night.
“Can I take a picture with the dog?” the model asked politely of police stationed inside the star-studded annual bash in D.C., featuring speeches by President Barack Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, and the evening’s entertainer, SNL‘s Cecily Strong.
The officers, however, were less about selfies and more about their four-legged partner staying focused on his job. They turned down the star, 29, who good-naturedly tried to convince them, but to no avail. (“It’s for everyone’s good,” said an officer of the canine, busy at work.)
The Washington Hilton ballroom was packed with a slew of stars, from Jenna Dewan-Tatum to Bradley Cooper, to Naomi Campbell and Karlie Kloss (who snapped a seriously glam selfie for PEOPLE).
But perhaps the most unique element of this D.C red carpet bash is the pairings of stars and Washingtonian elite.
“Wolf Blitzer! How are you, brother?” asked Black-Ish star Anthony Anderson of the CNN newscaster, who happily greeted him in return.
