The 33-year-old British actor was just added to The Lost City of Z, Brad Pitt‘s big-screen adaptation of the book by David Grann. Hunnam will star opposite Robert Pattinson and Sienna Miller in the flick that follows Percy Fawcett (Hunnam), a British colonial who disappeared in the 1920s while searching for a mythical city in the Amazon jungles of Brazil. That’s not all Hunnam has in store: He’s currently playing the title role in Knights of the Round Table: King Arthur, a Warner Bros. picture directed by Guy Ritchie in production now. He’s also reprising his role in the Pacific Rim sequel dubbed Crimson Peak, directed by Guillermo del Toro. One place you won’t be able to see Hunnam: the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey movie. Before the movie began production, Hunnam made headlines by abruptly pulling out of the project, where he was cast in the leading role. He was eventually replaced by Jamie Dornan. “It was a very difficult position that I put myself in, and that I put the studio in, because of course, those type of things are like red rag to a bull to a lot of bloggers and reviewers,” Hunnam recently told Entertainment Weekly. “I was worried that the wrong perception would come out, which is what happened – it was all about that I got cold feet, or that I didn’t have faith in the movie, or that I didn t like the script, and all this f—ing bulls—. Anybody that knows the process of actors with integrity going about choosing roles knew that all of those questions would have been answered in the very first meeting and that had any of that actually been the case, I would have not gotten myself in the situation in the first place.” There’s another more intimate role that’s currently open, should Hunnam have any interest. Jennifer Lopez told PEOPLE that if she had to choose any “Hollywood hottie” to be her man next door, she’d pick Hunnam, who was recently picked as one of PEOPLE’s Sexiest Men Alive.
