What's Up with That?
WHAT'S UP WITH HEATHER'S TATTOO?
Heather Locklear has long worn her heart on her ankle, as evidenced by her Valentine-and-rose tattoo. Now she's been spotted with fresh ink: the word "Finch." A tribute to "just a friend" David Spade, who played Dennis Finch on Just Shoot Me? Nope, says a source close to Locklear. "It means she's free as a bird. There's no relation to David Spade's character."
WHAT'S UP WITH THEIR RINGS?
Paris Hilton likes pranks – so is there any truth to the rumor that she hasn't returned her 24-carat rock to ex-fiancé Paris Latsis because it's cubic zirconia? "(The story) is absolutely not true," her rep told us in November 2005. The bauble is all diamond – just like the 2.8-carat Chopard ring that Lindsay Lohan sported on her left hand at the time. Who is it from? What does it mean? Said Lohan's rep: "I am not commenting on her personal life."
WHAT'S UP WITH HALLE'S 'MAN'?
Is Halle Berry toting home a man or a mannequin? Try neither. "Halle is an avid art collector," her publicist told us last summer, and the stiff figure she carted off from L.A.'s Obsolete gallery is an articulated artist's model from the 1800s. "People used it to sketch from and pose with," says a gallery rep. "It's very rare and very collectible." Though neither would disclose the cost, it is rumored to be $35,000.
WHAT'S UP WITH MARIAH'S ABS?
Mariah Carey's sudden ab-fab look at New York's Fourth of July celebration in 2005 had some asking: Are they real? Her rep didn't comment to PEOPLE, but Sally Blenkey-Tchassova at Brazil Bronze salon in New York says the muscled look is easy to get, using "scultped tanning" to create shadow and light around the abdomen. However, she says, Carey's resembles air-brushed makeup. "We wouldn't paint on a six-pack of abs," says Blenkey-Tchassova. "Our procedure is much more subtle than that."
