IT’S FOR REAL: Vinnifer? Jence? Vaughniston? However you say it, it appears that Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn’s relationship is the real thing. This week’s cover of PEOPLE tracks the couple’s growing fondness, from their interaction on the set of The Break Up, to their recent lunch date with Vaughn’s mother and stepfather. Despite recent denials by Aniston of any romantic involvement, photos of the two kissing and cozying up on the balcony of Aniston’s hotel seem to put any speculation to rest.
NICK & JESSICA ‘PERFECT’: Nick Lachey says he and Jessica Simpson are doing just fine. Following their recent Italian vacation, the solo Lachey stepped out for a hurricane benefit in Las Vegas. “There’s no shortage of romance,” Lachey told PEOPLE. “(Italy) is a very, very good country for that.” While Simpson was not on hand, Lachey wore his wedding band and called their relationship “perfect.” The pair’s anniversary is Oct. 26.
ASHTON’S INSPIRATION: Call it a case of art imitating life. Newlywed Ashton Kutcher (who tied the knot with Demi Moore on Sept. 24) is working on a new FOX sitcom pilot, 30 Year Old Grandpa, which centers on a young businessman who marries a woman more than 10 years his senior – making him nearly the same age as her children. (Stop us if you’ve heard this one.) To further complicate the picture, the man’s older wife becomes pregnant at the same time as her twentysomething daughter. No word yet on an airdate for the new show.
TEACHER’S PET: Madonna went to the head of the class this week. The 47-year-old pop star spoke to a film class at New York’s Hunter College for a 20-minute Q&A about her life and art. The class had just screened Madonna’s upcoming documentary, I’m Going to Tell You a Secret, which chronicles the pop star’s 2004 tour, when she walked in.
LOST SUSPECT FOUND: Police on Tuesday arrested a man who allegedly broke in to the Hawaii home of Lost star Josh Holloway on Oct. 12 and robbed the actor and his wife at gunpoint. Police picked up the man, whose name was not released, during a traffic stop and forced him out of his car using wooden bullets and pepper spray. Holloway, 36, who plays hunky con man Sawyer on the ABC hit, said after the incident: “My family and I are fine and appreciate everyone’s concerns and good thoughts.”
