Paula, Randy and Simon are heading on the road to look for the next Taylor, Fantasia or Kelly on Tuesday. PEOPLE finds out the details of their search for the next great singer plus other events to look for in the coming week:

SUNDAY, AUG. 6: A new crop of celebs will do their best to shed pounds and reshape their bodies on the fourth season of VH1’s Celebrity Fit Club. Carnie Wilson, former Sopranos star Vincent "Big Pussy" Pastore, Family Ties actress Tina Yothers and singer Angie Stone are among the contestants. Stay tuned to see if there are any Daniel Baldwin-style meltdowns. (9 p.m. ET).

Catfighting, spitting and lots of conniving were the order of the day on the first season of Flavor of Love, rapper Flava Flav‘s VH1 search for his soulmate. Alas, the former Public Enemy frontman didn’t find his true love. Now he’s on the prowl again for Ms. Right in Flavor of Love 2. A sneak peek at the new season promises more amped up drama as the ladies fight for the heart of the clock-wearing hip-hopper (10 p.m. ET).

MONDAY, AUG. 7: The Osbournes first gave us a peek into the lives of a rock n’ roll family. Now KISS bassist Gene Simmons is rolling out his brood for the new A&E reality series Gene Simmons: Family Jewels. Go behind-the-scenes and see the paternal side of the tongue-flicking musician, who’s been “happily unmarried” to former Playmate of the Year Shannon Tweed for 23 years and has two teenage kids, Nick, 17, and Sophie, 14, with her. (10 p.m. ET)

TUESDAY, AUG. 8: America, get ready to sing your heart out! Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson are going cross-country for auditions for the sixth season of American Idol. The tryouts start at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif., followed by dates in San Antonio, East Rutherford, N.J., Birmingham, Ala., Memphis, Minneapolis and Seattle. Just remember: You have to be between the ages of 16-28 to be eligible.

FRIDAY, AUG. 11: The Red Hot Chili Peppers – who led the MTV Video Music Awards nominees list along with Shakira with seven nods (including video of the year for “Dani California”) – are hitting the road for their North American tour in support of their platinum double album Stadium Arcadium. The jaunt, which will also takes them to Canada, kicks off in Portland, Ore.
