Now, that’s better than a birthday cake!

YouTube star Tyler Oakley rang in his 27th year on Tuesday with a little help from his huge fanbase.

The vlogger and author of New York Times best seller Binge was pleasantly surprised for a segment on PeopleNow when a slew of his fans came together to wish him a ‘happy birthday’ in a video and a photo montage made by a fan named Ali.

Holding up handwritten notes and drawings, many of Oakley’s fans thanked the star for helping them through hard times, and named the things they love most about him.

“His contagious smile,” wrote one Twitter user, while a cover of “Forever Young” played in the background.

Added another, “I love your obnoxiously adorable and contagious laugh.”

In response to the special tribute, Oakley wrote on Twitter, “This just made my day. Thank you for thinking of little old me. Way too many of you to mention, BUT THANK YOU!!”

Earlier in the day, Oakley wrote, “thank you so much for the kind birthday wishes today!!”
