He’s got several homes and numerous hit movies under his belt, but there’s one more thing that Steven Steven Spielberg wants: Katie Couric. According to the Los Angeles Times, Spielberg and his partner in SKG Dreamworks, Jeffrey Katzenberg, tired to lure Couric to their company with a $100,000 video featuring actors holding “We Love You, Katie” signs. Neither Dreamworks nor Couric, host of NBC’s popular Today Show would comment. Couric, whose contract with NBC expires next year, is wanted by several media companies, possibly for a daytime TV show. Producers of “The Rosie O’Donnell Show” reportedly sought Couric as a replacement for O’Donnell, who will leave the show next year. They eventually chose actress Caroline Rhea.
