Never mind the search for a Harry Potter for the movies. Try finding a John Lennon. That’s the task at hand throughout Britain, where the casting net has been tossed to discover an 18-to-23-year-old to play the young Beatle for an NBC movie set to air in December, “In His Life: The John Lennon Story.” The tale begins in Liverpool, where the movie will be shot starting next month, and culminates with the Fab Four’s appearance on “The Ed Sullivan Show.” “What we are looking for is an incredible young actor who can sing, play guitar, look like John Lennon and capture the essence of his personality,” the project’s executive producer, Michael O’Hara, said in a press statement. “Needless to say that is a very tall order.”
