He’s danced to Katy Perry‘s “Dark Horse” and crooned Rihanna’s “Stay.” Now Vin Diesel has taken on another chart topper – Sam Smith‘s “Stay with Me” – and it’s kind of awesome.

The Fast and Furious star was asked by the U.K.’s Capital FM to put his unique vocal stylings on the British singer’s hit, and he gave it his all, alternating between deep gravelly tones and hitting the high notes (who knew he could do that?).

And we aren’t the only ones who are somewhat stunned – Smith, 22, heard Diesel’s version and Tweeted on Wednesday: “Vin Diesel just covered Stay With Me. Surreal. Thanks man haha.”

“First of all, I thought it was gonna be good, because I thought if it’s Vin Diesel singing it must be great, but when I heard it, it’s the most hilarious thing I’ve heard in my life,” Smith told Capital Breakfast on Thursday. “It’s amazing. It’s brilliant. The falsetto and the chest voice is unreal.”

“It’s so weird for me because I remember watching XXX when I was like 11 years old,” he added. “I definitely think we should do a duet one day, it would be amazing.”

Your move, Vin.
