How would a child react to seeing a stranger drop their wallet on the street?

That’s the question the above video seeks to answer, and thanks to a Reddit posting on Tuesday, it’s become a small-scale viral hit beyond its native Japan.

As explained on the website Japan Today, the video is a PSA by the Japanese Red Cross demonstrating not the honesty of the children but their willingness to do something Japanese adults may not: offer unsolicited assistance to a stranger. For adults, butting in to offer help might be considered rude.

The kids, temporarily separated from their mothers, however, each make the right choice and help out a stranger in need.

It begs the question: How would American kids react in the same circumstances?
