Lee Ann Womack has had a music career most could only dream of, collaborating with some of the biggest names in the business. Willie Nelson and George Strait ring a bell?

But the Texas native still has at least one more person she would give anything to record with: “I’d like to work with my daughter,” she tells PEOPLE of her oldest child, Aubrie, 18, a musical talent just like her mom.

Womack, 42, is spending part of this summer on the road, but she says that’s not her only focus. “My favorite thing about summer is that the girls are out of school. Anna [her 10-year-old daughter] and I watch a lot of old movies together, and occasionally we’ll all go to lunch together.”

Womack adds another collaborator to her impressive list with her latest single, “Solitary Thinkin’,” written by fellow country singer Waylon Payne. Womack says of her latest musical partner, “He doesn’t follow a formula or anything, he just writes from the heart – and that’s the way music should be written.”
