Inside Valerie Bertinelli's Star-Studded Wedding

At the actress's nuptials to Tom Vitale, she was surrounded by beloved current and former costars

Talk about a reunion.

For Valerie Bertinelli’s surprise wedding on New Year’s day, the actress put together an eclectic guest list that included her beloved TV families from throughout her decades-long career.

In addition to costars and new-found close buddies Jane Leeves and Wendie Mallick from Bertinelli’s current hit sitcom Hot in Cleveland, the actress made sure to include Mackenzie Phillips and Pat Harrington from One Day at a Time, the long-running 70s sitcom that launched her career.

Phillips, who played Julie Cooper opposite Bertinelli’s sweet-faced Barbara Cooper character on the 70s show, tearfully toasted her “little sister” during the wedding reception. And Pat “Schneider” Harrington’s spirited toast was interrupted several times by the One Day at a Time theme song piped in over loud speakers, evoking laughter from the group.

Another guest who topped the invite list? Bertinelli’s ex-husband, Eddie Van Halen, who brought his wife Janie Liszewski. Bertinelli, who divorced Van Halen in 2006 after 25 years of marriage, also attended the rocker’s 2009 wedding.
