Tameka Foster's 11-year-old son was in a jet ski accident on July 6
The 11-year-old son of Usher‘s ex-wife Tameka Foster has died after been taken off life support following a jet ski accident on July 6 in Georgia.
Kile Glover had been declared brain dead by doctors within days after being admitted to hospital in critical condition. A 15-year-old female friend also suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Glover and the girl had been floating on inner tubes in Georgia’s Lake Lanier when they were struck by a passing jet ski.
Georgia officials identified the jet ski’s driver as Jeffrey S. Hubbard, reportedly a family friend. He has not been charged with a crime, but an investigation into the incident continues and will determine if charges should be brought.
“We know God’s in control, and are leaning on our faith in Him and His word at this most difficult time,” the Glover family said in a statement to CNN on July 10.
Usher, 33, and Foster, 41, divorced in 2009 after two years of marriage. They have two young sons of their own together.
