Tyson Released From Jail

A beaming Mike Tyson walked out of a Rockville, Md., jail yesterday after serving only 3 1/2 months of his one-year sentence for assaulting two motorists after a fender-bender. “His release was long overdue as far as I’m concerned,” his attorney, Paul Kemp, said. The former heavyweight champion smiled but said nothing to reporters before getting into a car and being driven home by his wife, Monica. Tyson will be subject to urine testing at least twice a week and to unannounced home visits by state authorities, said an official. The former boxing champ must also receive permission before leaving Maryland, complete a psychiatric evaluation and undergo anger management treatment. Tyson’s reps say they’ll talk with him soon about his return to the ring.
