Tyson Faces More Time

Mike Tyson may have to serve more time behind bars after pleading no contest to two counts of misdemeanor assault. The former heavyweight champion entered the pleas in Rockville DA on Tuesday for a scuffle after an Aug. 31 traffic accident involving his wife Monica. He was accused of punching and kicking two motorists. Tyson said he was “truly aware” that his pleas could affect his parole. (He was released from prison in 1995 after serving three years of a six-year sentence for a 1992 rape conviction in Indiana.) Tyson faces up to 20 years in prison when he is sentenced early next year. He also could be fined up to $2,500 on each count.
