The actor, who just honed his skiing and motorcycle riding skills, chatted with PEOPLE this week about “one last thing” …

Last time I got my hands dirty
Yesterday. I planted some seeds for my daughters [Frances, 4, and Greta, 2]. They will be surprise flowers because they came in a butterfly packet that didn’t have the name of the flower on them.

Last time I challenged myself
I just learned how to ride a motorcycle. I don’t know that I’m going to own one, but I’ve always wanted to experience riding one, and it was sure fun to do.

Last ‘guy’ thing I splurged on
I bought a giant brisket that was surprisingly expensive to cook for Super Bowl Sunday. I love to grill but I’m really hit and miss. You’re either going to get something delicious or something that’s inedible. There’s no middle ground.

Last country I visited
The U.K. I like traveling, but it’s a double-edged sword because it’s hard to be away from the kids for a long time, but it’s also incredibly difficult to fly with young kids.
