Twilight's Biggest Fans Look Back
STEFANIE S., 29
What better way to celebrate Twilight than with Jacob himself? The Trumbull, Conn., resident scored this photo with Taylor Lautner after sneaking into the V.I.P. area of the Breaking Dawn – Part 1 afterparty in L.A. "Taylor was very gracious," Stefanie said. "He was surrounded by people when I asked him for a picture, and he stopped the conversation and took a picture with me."
ALEXANDRIA M., 21 & REBECCA Y., 19
L.A. natives Alexandria and Rebecca learned patience pays off when they camped out for four days prior to the Eclipse premiere in 2010. "As a surprise treat at the end, the producers even gave people who camped out tickets to the premiere itself," Alexandria said. "We got to watch the movie with the actors themselves! That was a surreal moment just knowing they were in the theatre with us."
CRISSY A., 41
The self-described "hopeless romantic" met dreamy dad Carlisle Cullen, played by Peter Facinelli, at a Dallas Twilight convention near her Monahans hometown in 2010. "Peter was very personable and great fun to listen to," Crissy said, "and he smelled great!"
BRITTANY M., 27
Just as Edward found Bella, Twilight brought Brittany together with "fellow TwiHard Amanda at a convention in 2010 and she quickly became one of the best friends I've ever had," said the Canby, Ore., resident. "The picture is of her and I in line for the [Breaking Dawn – Part 1] premiere. Thank you Twilight for changing my life for the better in so many ways."
KERSTIN Z., 27
Attending the Creation Entertainment Twilight Convention in Parsippany, N.J., over the summer of 2011 proved worth the trip for Middletown, Conn., resident Kerstin, who found herself on stage singing karaoke with Chaske Spencer (wolf Sam Uley) and Charlie Bewley (vampire Demetri). "They were so much fun!" she said. "At one point, Chaske formed a heart out of his arms. When the song was over, they both hugged me and said it was great!"
CINDY A., 44 & BETH R., 38
Inspired by the compassion of the Cullen matriarch, Cindy and Beth launched a non-profit named Esme's Heart in their hometown of Macon, Ga., that began by collecting canned goods at the 2009 New Moon premiere. Since then, the group has raised more than $30,000 in donations for multiple organizations, and expects to have more than 1,000 volunteers in attendance at their final event for Breaking Dawn – Part 2. "The Esme's Heart ladies came together because of a book," said Cindy, "and now we stay together because we have become sisters who love having fun while volunteering to help improve the lives around us."
SANDRA H., 30
The Shelbyville, Ind., resident made the long journey to Forks, Wash., in 2009 for another go-around at prom – Twilight-style. "The photo was taken at The View Point Inn, where they filmed the prom scene," she said. "We were treated to a Twilight-themed dinner and were encouraged to dress in prom attire. The casino prop is the only movie item that The Inn kept."
JAIME F., 29
Attending Comic Con 2012 turned out to be double the fun for the Reno, Nev., resident and her 10-year-old daughter Alisha, who scored one-on-one time with Jackson Rathbone and Elizabeth Reaser. "Elizabeth was great with her, got to her level," Jaime said. "We have really enjoyed reading the books and seeing the movies, and we enjoy doing it as mother and daughter together! It's our special thing."
ROSAMARIA B., 30
To celebrate pal Francesca's wedding, Rosamaria transformed the bride's mother's house in Cleveland into a Twilight shrine for her May bachelorette party, complete with red and black décor, a cut-out of Edward and Bella that guests could take photos with and Twilight-themed cupcakes. "Francesca is a huge fan of Twilight and we've always seen the movies together on opening night," Rosamaria said. "Plus Bella and Edward had gotten married, and Francesca LOVES Edward."
GRACIE W., 31
Not even a baby bump could deter Gracie from visiting Forks during a family trip to Seattle in 2010. "A 4-hour car ride while pregnant – you know I'm a true fan!" said the Ocoee, Fla., resident, who took photos throughout the town but considers posing with Chief Swan's police car especially meaningful. "He plays an important role in Bella's life," she said. "The importance of a father figure in a child's life is too often overlooked. I am blessed with a husband and a father for my children they can rely on."
