Now you can get fired, even on your vacation: Plans are in place for an eight-day, Apprentice-themed cruise, which will sail from New York to the Caribbean on Sept. 26 after a send-off party featuring Donald Trump himself – and a passenger load that includes such past players as first-season winner Bill Rancic and second-season rejects Stacie J., Jennifer C. and Raj.
The vessel will be the Carnival cruise line’s 1,062-cabin The Legend, which will be re-christened the Trump World Legend for the week, the Associated Press reports. Fares start at $1,199 per person, based on double occupancy. Taxes, tips, liquor and other expenses are extra, including a golf tournament in St. Thomas.
Besides rubbing shoulders with the Apprentice personalities, cruisers can replace shuffleboard with on-board competitions involving teams and tasks similar to those on the NBC reality show.
There will be one grand-prize winner whose prize will be to spend a day as CEO of the travel Web site Expedia.com, which is the commercial sponsor of the voyage.
The CEO-for-a-day will receive a $15,000 paycheck, first-class airfare to New York and ground transportation by limo, plus a stay in a five-star hotel.
