Trial: 'Puffy' Pauses

Jury selection in the weapons possession and bribery trial of rap entrepreneur Sean “Puffy” Combs was put on hold for a day on Monday after his co-defendant, Jamal “Shyne” Barrow, was arrested for driving with a suspended license, police in New York told Reuters. Barrow, 20, was arrested Sunday evening after the Mercedes-Benz he was driving collided with another car in Manhattan. Two people were injured and police said that the other driver was at fault. In the case involving Combs, Barrow, along with Anthony “Wolf” Jones, is accused of attempted murder and gun possession stemming from a December 1999 Times Square nightclub shootout in which three people were injured. Jury selection in the case is expected to resume on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Combs’s girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez, who was with him on the night of the incident, has been telling interviewers that she will testify on the musician’s behalf, if necessary.
