Travolta Sheds Light

John Travolta takes heart in knowing that his new movie, “A Civil Action,” is shining a national spotlight on environmental issues. “If people leave the theater more enlightened about the situation in our environment, we’re in good shape,” Travolta told the Associated Press on Wednesday. Hundreds of fans braved the cold Wednesday to catch a glimpse of Travolta and co-star Robert Duvall, who attended a $250-a-ticket screening to benefit the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Based on the nonfiction best-selling book by Jonathan Harr, the film chronicles the saga of families who blamed polluted drinking water for the leukemia that killed their children.
