It hasn’t been a happy new year so far for Tori Spelling.

Six weeks after a cheating scandal that rocked the couple’s seven-year marriage, the actress “is having a tough time,” says a source. “It’s been awful.”

On Monday, the actress, who has continued to wear her wedding ring, was spotted shying away from photographers as she reportedly visited McDermott at his rehab facility. The dad of five, 47, entered rehab last month to deal with “health and personal issues,” he said in a statement.

“They’re communicating, says the source. “That’s a step.” McDermott has also been spending time with Liam, Stella, Hattie and Finn, his four children with Spelling.

As far as Spelling is concerned, the source says, “It seems like she’ll be able to forgive him but I don’t think she will ever forget.”
