Tori Kelly‘s trying her hand at playing a Disney princess – well, sort of!
The ”Should’ve Been Us” singer, 22, covered the Pocahontas classic “Colors of the Wind,” and spoiler alert: It was awesome.
The track will appear on the upcoming We Love Disney album (due Oct. 30), on which chart-topping artists cover gems from the Disney canon. Kelly – who is one of PEOPLE’s 2015 Ones to Watch – jumped at the chance to re-record the song.
“As a kid, that was my favorite movie growing up. I was all decked out in the Pocahontas outfit for Halloween, I had the Pocahontas mug – I was obsessed with the movie,” says Kelly, whose new single ”Hollow” dropped Thursday as well. “So I thought it would be cool to do ‘Colors of the Wind.'”
