For no apparent reason, except that it’s the weekend, Oscar-winning actor Tom Hanks stars in the video for Carly Rae Jepsen’s new single, “I Really Like You.”

He lip-syncs, he emojis and he’s on Tinder – racking up those right swipes.

“After shooting the video I am still in happy shock. Tom was hilarious and though it was absolutely freezing he kept our spirits up by shouting ‘huddle together now – like penguins,'” Jepsen said following the video’s Friday premiere on BravoTV.com.

She’s right: The plot follows a day in the life for the beloved star – except it’s set to a champagne bubble tempo, so everyone is always smiling. And then Justin Bieber shows up for the group dance number at the end! (This is not as weird as it seems: Bieber and Hanks have been dancing together before.)

And, somewhere in the middle, you realize that people have been asking Hanks to sign ping-pong paddles for a very long time.
