Last week, Chet, an aspiring rapper who once went by the name Chet Haze, took to social media to address his rocky past in nearly a dozen revealing Instagram videos. In response to reports that he had gone missing this summer, Chet, 25, revealed that he had been admitted to rehab.
“I’ve been in a rehab, right? I’m just trying to get my s— together. And I’m doing pretty damn good,” he said in one video.
He also got candid about the nature of his past drug abuse.
“A couple months ago I was selling coke, doing coke until I couldn’t even snort it up my nose anymore because it was so clogged. I even smoked crack,” Chet said. “If I can change you can change. There is a solution.”
Chet has made headlines in recent years for allegedly trashing a London hotel room, his Twitter feud with Howard Stern and his past use of a racial slur. But Chet said in one of the 11 videos that he realized he needed to make a change.
“If you’re struggling with this s— take yourself to a meeting, you know? Call some people,” he said.
