Look for “Cast Away” star Tom Hanks in next year’s Oscar race, but never in a political election. “I would not want to live in a country that would have me as a leader in any sort of political bent,” the actor, 44, tells “60 Minutes” on Sunday. The double Oscar winner (“Philadelphia,” “Forrest Gump”) is a staunch Democrat. Apparently his recent work to raise money for a World War II memorial on Washington’s National Mall has been construed by some as a sign of unrealized political ambitions.
