The 2.5 acre, private estate is described as a "European-style villa perched high on its own knoll" with walls of glass "that command breathtaking city views"
For just under $13 million, you can cruise into Tom Cruise‘s Los Angeles compound.
The 52-year-old action star’s stunning estate – comprising more than 2.5 acres of land – is on the market for $12.995 million, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Cruise’s Hollywood Hills home is described as “a European-style villa perched high on its own knoll, tucked behind tall gates and sited down a long private driveway,” according to Redfin. “The main house has walls of glass that command breathtaking city views.”
“Trying to get a look at it from the street would be Mission: Impossible!” says Alec Traub, a Redfin agent in Los Angeles.
The home features a living room with a vaulted ceiling and fireplace, an Italian farmhouse-inspired kitchen with chef-quality appliances, wide plank oak floors, and three bedrooms with en suite bathrooms.
The detached guesthouse has a slate roof with its own kitchen, four bedrooms and four bathrooms.
The outdoor patio includes a lagoon heated pool, spa and waterfall, and a stone-clad craft building has space for a wine-tasting room and cellar.
All structures on the estate are connected by stone pathways and driveways, while cutting-edge Lutron and Crestron systems power and control the home.
“It has the feel of an Italian farmhouse, albeit a very luxurious one,” Traub says. “It features wrought iron, stone and wood elements that give it a romantic feel.”
Cruise’s primary residence is an elegant Beverly Hills mansion he purchased for $30.5 million in 2007, according to Variety.
Variety reports that Cruise has been selling a lot of real estate of late, including his almost 2,200-square-foot apartment in New York City s East Village for $3 million in 2013.
Last fall, Cruise listed his 298-acre ranch near Telluride, Colorado, for $59 million.
