Tom Brady was all about giving back over the weekend.

The New England Patriots quarterback, 34, headed up the 13th Annual Best Buddies Challenge: Hyannis Port over the weekend, as part of his ambassador duties for the organization.

The weekend’s events raised $4.5 million in donations for the nonprofit organization, dedicated to creating friendship, employment and leadership training opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The organization has grown to chapters in about 1500 middle school, high school and college chapters worldwide.

Starting with a challenge on Friday, the athlete played QB alongside some Best Buddies participants, supporters and fellow New England Patriots.

Food was also a major component of the festivities – which were participated in by approximately 1600 people – for Brady and the other folks in attendance. Guy Fieri manned the grill during a tailgate party, and he prepared grilled pit beef sandwiches and grilled lamb loin chops with mint pesto, which guests enjoyed on their way into the party after the game.

Once inside, guests enjoyed Patron drinks and Fiji water – as well as an assortment of food prepped by Fieri. Among the offerings: Ahi tacos, wings and bacon-wrapped shrimp with chipotle sauce for appetizers.

For dinner, guests visited a buffet which featured Long Beach Slaw; Cajun chicken Alfredo penne; and grilled bloody mary flank steak, among other dishes.
