Talk is cheap — actually $2.95, to be precise. That’s the cover price of “Talk,” the latest monthly to enter the lucrative, competitive field of glossy magazines. After months of speculation, Walt Disney Co.’s Miramax Films unit and Hearst Magazines announced Thursday that their joint-venture general interest magazine will hit the streets in August. And if experience, pedigree and proven success are advantages in a cut-throat industry, the magazine might just become the “Talk” of the town. Former Tatler, Vanity Fair and New Yorker editor Tina Brown will sit in the editorial chair, with “Vogue” veteran Ron Galotti as publisher.
