What a difference a year makes.

Last year, Tiger Woods famously got into a fight with his wife, Elin Nordegren, and crashed his car into a tree in Florida at Thanksgiving.

This holiday, Woods, 34, spent a quiet holiday with his two kids, Sam, 3, and Charlie, 1½ and his mother, Kultida, a source tells PEOPLE.

“I just finished a pretty tough cardio session this morning because of all the apple and pumpkin pie,” the golfer Tweeted Friday.

The golf star’s ex-wife was born and raised in Sweden, where Thanksgiving is not celebrated. The couple’s divorce became final in August.

A friend says Nordegren is doing just fine and moving on after the difficult year.

“She’s healing. She stays busy with the children and her college classes and is already planning for the holidays,” the friend says. “She wants to take a little more time before making more long-term plans but she does intend to find a charitable cause to dedicate her time and effort to.”
