The Walt Disney Co. plans to announce that it has signed Tiger Woods as a spokesman for various company holdings, including its theme parks, reports the Wall Street Journal. Although financial details of the pact have not been disclosed, the Journal notes that the 25-year-old sports superstar (who took his fourth straight major golf championship on Sunday) already has a $20-million, five-year deal with Nike and others with General Motors, General Mills, Rolex and American Express. By one estimate, Woods earned $54 million last year from about a dozen such endorsements. That tops the $45 million record earned by Michael Jordan in his best year. Besides the theme parks, Woods could also appear on behalf of Disney-owned ESPN or any of its other divisions. As the Journal points out, Disney already has Kanga and Roo. Soon it will have Tiger, too.
