"So far things are going pretty great," the comedian wrote of her Jan. 1 engagement
Looks like Tig Notaro rang in the New Year with a very special ring this year.
The Grammy-nominated stand-up comedian got engaged to girlfriend Stephanie Allynne over the holiday, Notaro confirms on Facebook.
“I have been officially engaged for 53 minutes, and so far things are going pretty great,” she wrote Jan. 1.
Last year, Notaro, 43, discussed her relationship with The Huffington Post, saying, “I think the one thing I haven’t had is a relationship that fulfilled me and made me excited about being with that person forever, and I have that now, for the first time in my life.”
She added: “That drives me to work on that and invest in that. I still want to live my life and pursue my career, but my personal life and my relationship, my family, it’s more important than ever.”
And the couple has an extra reason to celebrate: Notaro’s documentary, Tig Doc, premieres at Sundance Film Festival this month.
