After the tragic loss of her husband Chris Carney, Tiffany Thornton is seeking solace in sharing touching family photos with friends.

The mother of two took to Instagram on Friday to post a photo of her youngest son, 20-month old Bentley, cuddling up with his late father as the two sleep.

Thornton did not caption the photo, but today marks one week since the former MTV star died in a car accident in Arkansas. Carney was the passenger in a vehicle driven by his 37-year-old friend Ezekiel Blanton, who also died.

State police said Blanton was driving the vehicle early in the morning when he failed to negotiate a curve, over-corrected and collided with a tree.

Carney was just 35.

Just yesterday, Thornton shared a photo of herself and one of her young sons, as they pet a horse.

“Learning to live one day at a time,” the Disney alum, 29, captioned the photo.

She and Carney married in 2011 and welcomed their first son, Kenneth, now 3, a year later.

Thornton has seemingly been using Instagram to cope, as well as keeping her fans updated. One day after his death, she shared a heartfelt tribute to her husband, providing funeral details.

“There are so many things I want you to know about Chris but most importantly you must know how earnestly he pursued the Lord, especially in the past year,” she wrote. “No one is perfect in this world and we all have our battles but it’s the way we get back on our feet and turn it around that really counts. And he did it.”

On Wednesday, she shared another post asking for prayers for the driver of the car, as his family held his funeral that afternoon.

“He was an amazing man of God who would give his last penny to help another,” Thornton captioned the group photo. “I’ve never known anyone who smiled as much as Zeke and we will be sure to share his giving spirit with the rest of the world.”
