Talk about engaging news … this week’s issue of PEOPLE reports on the wedding engagements of three Hollywood couples.

“Sabrina the Teenage Witch” star Melissa Joan Hart, 26, and rocker Mark Wilkerson, 25, the lead singer of the band Course of Nature, became engaged on Dec. 26 and plan to marry this summer.

The couple, neither of whom have been married before, met at a Kentucky Derby party in Louisville last May.

As PEOPLE also reports, “Angel” star Alexis Denisof, 36, popped the question to his girlfriend of two years, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “American Pie” actress Alyson Hannigan, 28, on Dec. 21 while the two were picnicking in California’s Napa Valley. It will be the first marriage for them, as well.

And although “The West Wing” actor Dule Hill, 27, did manage to pop the question to Nicole Lyn, 24, his girlfriend of two years, the proposal and romantic evening that Hill originally arranged didn’t exactly unfold according to plan.

Hill, 27, wanted to ask for her hand at the couple’s L.A. home, and he timed everything so that he would arrive just before the delivery of 365 red and lavender roses — only he was delayed when shooting on the NBC series ran late.

The situation was further exacerbated when the courier (who was supposed to deliver the three-carat ring that the actor had designed) could not get onto the studio lot.

By the time Hill got home, the flowers had already arrived, tipping Lyn off. Still, the most important detail went according to plan: She said yes.
