We remain good friends and will share custody of our dogs.” The couple married last June 2 in Hawaii, shortly after Thorne-Smith, who played attorney Georgia Thomas, left the Fox show. (On the series, the characters of Thorne-Smith and Calista Flockhart competed for the affections of Gil Bellows, who departed the show before Thorne-Smith.) Before “Ally,” Thorne-Smith, 32, starred on “Melrose Place” (she also dated costar Andrew Shue) though she first gained attention with her recurring role as a Lakers cheerleader on “L.A. Law.”
