While in deep admiration, the “Shake It Off” singer made sure she showed love for his music as well.
“She actually schooled me on my own s–––,” the singer says. “She was like, ‘I’ve been listening to ‘The Morning’ for years – it’s one of my favorite songs ever!’ I mean, she might have just Googled it. But she seemed genuine.”
When it comes to t he his iconic ‘do, he revealed his reasons for growing it out.
“I want to be remembered as iconic and different,” the singer, 25, says. “So I was like, ‘F––– it – I’m gonna let my hair just be what it wants.’ I’ll probably cut it if it starts interfering with my sight. I can kind of see it right now. But if I cut it, I’ d look like everyone else. And that’s just so boring to me.”
His celebrity encounter with Swift is not the only thing The Weeknd opened up about. The star talked about his relationship with Bella Hadid and how he pursued her.
“I actually asked her to be on the artwork for Beauty Behind the Madness,” he says.
“My motive was literally to work with her,” he added, saying that the relationship “just kind of fell into my lap.”
