"Our wedding has reminded us that we are just two best friends who realized we're both the same kind of crazy and fell in love," the couple tells PEOPLE exclusively
Jordan Smith is a married man!
The season nine Voice winner exchanged vows Saturday with his longtime girlfriend, Kristen Denny, in Middlesborough, Kentucky, the singer’s rep confirms exclusively to PEOPLE.
“We’re beyond excited to announce that we are officially Mr. and Mrs. Smith!” the newlyweds tell PEOPLE. “The journey so far has been amazing, and we can’t wait to continue on this path as a married couple. Our wedding has reminded us that we are just two best friends who realized we’re both the same kind of crazy and fell in love.”
Shortly after winning his season of The Voice, Smith popped the question with a romantic New Year’s Day proposal in Boston.
“We just got along so great and it was a perfect fit,” Smith said earlier this year about meeting his future wife – a speech language pathologist – at summer camp more than four years ago.
