In a holiday treat for Spice Girls fans in Britain, the group took to the stage Saturday night – although Emma Bunton (Baby Spice) showed signs of a recent ankle injury.

Still, when she came onto the stage, Bunton shouted, “We are back again!” And Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice) greeted the crowd, saying, “Hello, London!”

In the front row, Victoria Beckham’s family cheered for the group, and her eldest son, Brooklyn, waved to his mom (aka Posh Spice) when she came close to where they were sitting during the opening sequence.

Bunton was spotted on Wednesday hobbling gingerly with crutches, the result of taking a tumble in Las Vegas on Dec. 10. On Saturday, she didn’t have crutches onstage, but limped through the dance numbers.

“They have had to rework some of the dance routines because of Emma’s ankle,” says a rep. “She wanted to do the show. It is her hometown.”

Bunton, Beckham and Halliwell all grew up in or around London. Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice) and Melanie Brown (Scary Spice) both grew up in the north of England.

The band is performing 17 shows in London – three before Christmas.

The UK show, performed at the large O2 Arena in southeast London, is the first for the complete Spice Girl lineup since 1998. Halliwell left the following year and the remaining four continued on until 2000.
