The Poshest Celebrity Weddings
USHER & TAMEKA FOSTER
After postponing their spare-no-expenses wedding only to tie the knot a week later in a civil ceremony, Usher and Tameka finally walked down the aisle with a grand ceremony in Atlanta. About 200 people joined the couple at Chateau Elan Winery amp Resort, where they dined on southern cuisine (like buttermilk fried chicken) and a five-tiered, white-chocolate covered wedding cake.
EVA LONGORIA & TONY PARKER
The Desperate Housewife and the NBA star turned their French nuptials into a nonstop party! The twosome first hit Saint-Tropez for a his-and-her bachelor party, then Parker surprised Longoria with a romantic getaway to Mont Saint-
Michel, a medieval French citadel. The couple made it legal with a civil ceremony at the Mairie (inset), before exchanging rings – Longoria's boasted 107 diamonds! – at the Church of Saint Germain l'Auxerrois. The final event: A lavish reception (complete with fireworks!) at Chateau of Vaux le Vicomte, a 17th-century castle.
REBECCA ROMIJN & JERRY O'CONNELL
"It was a perfect celebration," Romijn told PEOPLE of her July wedding to O'Connell. One hundred guests – and their dogs Taco and Better, who wore black bow ties for the occasion – joined the couple in Los Angeles, where they dined on blue crab salad, prime rib and, instead of wedding cake, country apple and red velvet cupcakes.
ABHISHEK BACHCHAN & AISHWARYA RAI
"Abhiash" – India's version of "Brangelina" – tied the knot this year with a three-day celebration in Mumbai. With a silver turban and a veil of flowers, Abhishek Bachchan rode a white horse before joining Aishwarya Rai around a sacred fire to exchange vows in a traditional Hindu ceremony.
JOHN MCGINLEY & NICHOLE KESSLER
He's better known as the gruff Dr. Cox on Scrubs but this past April, McGinley showed his soft side when he married longtime girlfriend Kessler at an intimate wedding at their Malibu home. McGinley's son Max, 9, served as best man, escorting Kessler down the aisle. Afterward, guests noshed on sushi from Nobu Malibu and watched as the newlyweds danced to Ben Harper's "Waiting On an Angel."
ELIZABETH HURLEY & ARUN NAYAR
The model and businessman celebrated with three weddings – two British, one Indian – in March, first saying in a civil ceremony at Sudeley Castle near London, only to return the next day for a religious service where Elton John gave away the bride. They wed again in Jodhpur, India, in a traditional Hindu ceremony. Afterward, the couple was carried in an antique palanquin to the reception – complete with dancing white horses and walkways lined with millions of chili peppers – for a party that one guest described as "magical."
IOAN GRUFFUDD & ALICE EVANS
Mr. Fantastic became Mr. Taken this past September, when Fantastic Four star Gruffudd wed British actress Evans in a small ceremony at the One and Only Palmilla Hotel in Los Cabos, Mexico. Skipping the traditional tuxedo, Gruffudd wore a midnight blue suit, custom designed by Georgio Armani. His bride, however, was more traditional, wearing a white strapless gown (also a custom Armani creation) made of cascading tiers of organza.
MONTEL WILLIAMS & TARA FOWLER
The talk show host tied the knot in early October, eschewing a big blowout ceremony for an intimate one with 60 friends and family in Bermuda. Fowler, in an off-white, custom-designed Badgley Mischka gown and chandelier diamond earrings from Tallarico in Beverly Hills, carried red roses down the aisle where Williams – in a grey-and-blue pinstriped suit – waited for her. In keeping with the close-knit vibe, Williams's daughter Maressa, 18, was a bridesmaid and their ring bearer was the couple's toy poodle, Mr. Max.
BILL RANCIC AND GIULIANA DIPANDI
The Apprentice winner and E! News anchor married this past September in an Italian-themed wedding in the island of Capri. After a traditional Catholic ceremony, guests were bussed to Capri's center piazza, where Neapolitan dancers entertained them as they entered the reception at the Grand Hotel Quisisana. Friends and family dined on Southern Italian cuisine – proscuitto and pasta – and a vanilla-and-cream wedding cake.
ANA ORTIZ & NOAH LEBENZON
Her onscreen engagement may not have ended so well on Ugly Betty, but this past June, Ortiz got her happy ending when she tied the knot with her fiancé, musician Lebenzon, at the Horned Dorset Primavera Hotel in Rincén, Puerto Rico. Before the ceremony, Ortiz not only had a bridal shower at the Four Seasons, but she and Lebenzon also had a joint bachelor party in Las Vegas.
MARK BURNETT & ROMA DOWNEY
The reality TV producer (Survivor, The Apprentice) and actress were married in April at their Malibu home, in a ceremony officiated by actress Della Reese, Downey's former Touched by an Angel costar. "It was so meaningful and intimate," Burnett told PEOPLE. It was also full of surprises: Downey had hired a plane with a banner reading "... and they lived happily ever after" to fly by after the ceremony had commenced.
