An all-star cast and stellar soundtrack are just two of many components that will likely spin the film into a hit

From the Jazz-Age fashions to the Prohibition-Era cocktails to the one-of-a-kind cars, viewers will be able to relive the Roaring ’20s vicariously through the film adaptation of novelist F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic The Great Gatsby, scheduled to hit theaters on May 10.

True, the Baz Luhrmann-directed film also boasts an all-star cast – Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire, for starters – but here are a few other reasons why the 3D film already ranks as a must-see.

The Costumes
From elaborately embellished gowns, to long, flapper dresses, the colorful ensembles worn in the film – designed by Catherine Martin, who is married to director Luhrmann – are such a staple of the movie that the Prada store in New York’s SoHo currently has on display a selection of 20 beautiful looks from Gatsby.

The Music
With an original soundtrack that includes the likes of everyone from Jay-Z and Kanye West, to Florence + the Machine and Gotye, the diverse artist selection will likely offer something for everyone.

But what especially stands out is Beyoncé‘s rendition of Amy Winehouse‘s “Back to Black.” Along with that number, the jazz version of Beyoncé’s “Crazy In Love,” performed by Emeli Sandé and the Bryan Ferry Orchestra, has also generated its fair share of buzz.

The Drinks
No bathtub gin, of course, but what better way to indulge in Gatsby than sipping some of the beverages that first became popular during the story’s era?

From a Gin Rickey – gin, soda water and lime over ice and stirred – to a classic Champagne cocktail, keeping up with the actors as the drinks generously flow on screen will certainly enhance the experience.

Meeting that need, London’s Harrods department store is opening a special cocktail bar to celebrate the release of the film, U.K. Vogue reports. The ’20s-themed space will be open to store visitors from May 9 to 20.
