“Star Wars” creator George Lucas has his eye on some prime San Francisco real estate as a potential new home for his movie production facilities. Gordon Radley, president of Lucasfilm Ltd., says Lucas wants to bring together all of his special effects, sound and software companies on one campus at the Presidio — the historic San Francisco military base that has been converted into a national park. Radley tells the Los Angeles Times Lucas would continue to base his operation at Skywalker Ranch in Marin County. The Presidio Trust expects to entertain proposals from several other companies who also want to occupy the scenic grounds.
