The Donald will tee off with Jimmy Fallon, Kurt Russell and Luke Wilson at the American Century celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe, Calif. The tourney is set for July 16-18, and Trump’s home network, NBC, intends to broadcast it, the Associated Press reports. “The pressure will be on and I’ll have to perform,” Trump said in a statement. “It’s a tournament that has both big names and serious competition.” Tournament regulars such as Michael Jordan, John Elway, Mario Lemieux and Mark McGwire are also due to participate in the $500,000, 54-hole event, to be held at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course, and Trump, 57, will be a first-time player. “A lot of people don’t realize this, but he is a very, very good golfer,” said Jon Miller, senior vice president for programming for NBC Sports. Other newcomers will include NFL quarterbacks Peyton Manning, Trent Green, Carson Palmer and David Carr, along with Nick Lachey and Carson Daly. Meanwhile, former Trump acolyte Sam Solovey, who was fired on episode No. 3 of “The Apprentice” earlier this year, is also entering new territory, on stage. Solovey will play Tony’s cousin in the New York production of the interactive theater comedy Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding, for five performances only, May 18-22, reports The New York Times.
