Cynthia Erivo delivered a "stirring" rendition of Beyoncé's "Sandcastles"

It was only a matter of time before Beyoncé‘s Lemonade made its way to Hamilton‘s “Ham4Ham” shows.

Broadway’s The Color Purple star Cynthia Erivo made an appearance at the weekly pop-up performance show on Wednesday, and delivered a chill-inducing rendition of Beyoncé’s “Sandcastles.”

Naturally, the audience went ecstatic when the Tony Award winner asked if anyone had heard of Beyoncé’s Lemonade .

And the British actress’ rendition prompted an applause in the middle of the performance – and even more praise when she ended the show with one of the song’s high notes.

Soon, fans took to Twitter to praise the star – who plays Celie in The Color Purple – for her performance.

“Oh boy, @CynthiaEriVo sand Sandcastles at #Ham4Ham and I’m crying many tears. She’s an angel,” one tweeter wrote.

Another person shared a YouTube video of the performance and wrote: “Hey, @CynthiaEriVo I didn’t see Beyonce on tour, but I would pay a lot of money for more of this live (hint hint).”
