Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice returned to her New Jersey home at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, nearly one year after entering a Danbury, Connecticut, federal correction institution after being found guilty of fraud in 2014. Waiting for her with open arms were her four daughters, Gia, Gabriella, Milania and Audriana and her husband, Joe.

Signs reading "We Missed You" and "We Love You" adorned the family home's front doors.

Even more handmade banners welcomed the mom once she was inside. "She has missed [her family] so much while she was in prison," a source told PEOPLE. "She is going to spend as much time with them as she can."

As Giudice arrived home, a caravan of security vans followed to keep the reality star safe from the expected paparazzi and media waiting for her to make an appearance.

The family was "anxiously anticipating her arrival," a source tells PEOPLE, and "Joe was waiting for her in the driveway smiling."

Also waiting for her in the driveway: a brand new Lexus SUV, a gift from Joe.

A second source told PEOPLE that Giudice's daughters "could hardly sleep [on Tuesday] night because they were so excited that their mom was coming home."

The six will spend a "nice, quiet, low-key" holiday with their extended families, the reality star's lawyer told reporters, and Giudice has no plans to make any public appearances in the coming weeks.

However, the reunion will be somewhat short-lived: Joe starts his own 41-month prison sentence in March.
