The Giudice family celebrated Christmas over the weekend — but one important member was missing.
Teresa Giudice took to Instagram to share several photos from their holiday family gathering while her husband of 17 years, Joe, is nine months into his 41-month sentence for bankruptcy fraud, which he’s currently serving at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star also shared a picture of herself alongside her four girls in front of their Christmas tree on Christmas Eve.
The kids enjoyed an evening of fun and games in the playroom.
The celebrations continued into Christmas Day, and Teresa shared several more pictures of her daughters opening their presents and playing with their dog in their holiday pajamas.
Also in attendance was Teresa’s longtime BFF Dina Manzo, who lives on the West Coast now.
“Christmas stop at the Giudice’s,” Manzo, 44, captioned a picture of herself alongside her goddaughter Audriana. “My little peanut Audriana is getting so big and even more beautiful.”
Teresa also shared a few shots of the family’s holiday card.
“A message of love and peace from our home to yours,” she captioned a professional photo of her four girls. “The Giudice Family 2016.”
And in addition to the holidays, the weekend marked a particularly important milestone for Teresa: The one-year anniversary since she reunited with her family on Dec. 23, 2015, after spending nearly a year in prison.
One year after her release, her attorney James J. Leonard Jr. recently told PEOPLE the star “is thriving,” though she “misses Joe a lot.”
Looking back, Teresa is glad that her life is getting back to normal.
“I think the last year was a whirlwind for Teresa,” said Leonard. “She left Danbury at 5 a.m. and was filming Real Housewives of New Jersey less than two hours later. Her book Turning The Tables: From Housewife to Inmate and Back came out in February and made The New York Times bestseller list and then Joe went away in March. So this has been a very eventful year full of highs and lows, but she is doing amazing.”
A source also told PEOPLE she and Joe keep in frequent touch and that she visits him every week.
“They talk by phone and email each other every day,” said the insider. “He talks to the girls all the time, too.”
