Ted Cruz is standing up for his lady.

On Thursday, Cruz ripped into Donald Trump for the GOP front-runner’s earlier attacks on the Texas senator’s wife Heidi, CNN reports.

“Donald, you’re a sniveling coward and leave Heidi the hell alone,” Cruz reportedly said after a tour in Wisconsin.

The Republican presidential hopefuls have been going back and forth since Tuesday when Trump accused the Cruz campaign of releasing a nude meme of his wife Melania, which was actually released as an ad from an anti-trump super PAC.

When Trump caught wind of the ad, he took to Twitter, warning Cruz to “be careful” or he would “spill the beans” about Heidi.

In response, Cruz tweeted his own message, denying that the picture came from his camp.

On Wednesday, their feud raged on when the billionaire businessman took a shot at Heidi in the form of an unflattering meme which included the text, “No need to ‘spill the beans’ the images are worth a thousand words.'”

Cruz responded to the jab, appearing to take the high rode as he tweeted, “Donald, real men don’t attack women. Your wife is lovely, and Heidi is the love of my life.”

However, Trump did not take the olive branch and continued to call Cruz a liar, while maintaining that he is not at fault for their current disagreement.

“I didn’t start the fight with Lyin’Ted Cruz over the GQ cover pic of Melania, he did,” Trump tweeted on Thursday. “He knew the PAC was putting it out hence, Lyin’ Ted!”

According to CNN, amidst his scolding of Trump, Cruz also refused to say whether or not he would support the real estate mogul if he won the nomination.

“I’m going to beat Donald for the nomination,” he said, before reportedly adding three times, “Donald Trump will not be the nominee.”
